What is tDCS?

Non-invasive brain modulation

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is widely used in research and clinical fields such as neuroscience, psychology and rehabilitation. A low-intensity direct current applied to specific brain regions can suppress or increase the activity of the targeted areas. That makes tDCS a valuable tool for studying and enhancing cognitive functions, regulating mood and supporting motor performance; researchers and clinicians value it especially for being non-invasive.

Electrodes

High-quality brain stimulation

The Unicorn tDCS Core-2 stimulator and a sponge electrode, close up

Unicorn tDCS Core-2 uses g.SAHARA soft electrodes with electrode gel. The electrodes sit at set positions on the cap to stimulate the targeted brain regions; frontal, central, occipital or parietal, depending on the application.

Snap-in stimulator

Snaps on magnetically, starts by itself

The Unicorn tDCS Core-2 stimulator, base station and electrodes

The device consists of a cap with integrated stimulation electrodes and a stimulation unit. The stimulator attaches magnetically to the base station and starts as soon as it makes contact; to switch it off, take it off, turn it over and snap it back on.
