Optical-density changes, motion correction, physiological-noise control and task-related haemodynamic modelling are central to analysis. Choose coverage, optode placement and source–detector distances for the research question.

Device selection

A setup for your protocol.

Consider LUMO for modular HD-DOT, g.Nautilus fNIRS for simultaneous EEG–fNIRS and PLUX fNIRS Pioneer for sensor-based initial studies. Their coverage and spatial sampling differ; a single-sensor measurement is not equivalent to whole-head mapping.
