g.Recorder

Biosignal recording software

g.Recorder supports every g.tec device; beyond easy configuration and set-up it offers comprehensive tools to visualise, record, store and review data. Signals and parameters are watched in display mode, saved to disk and analysed later in offline (replay) mode. With the Professional version, video is recorded in sync with the biosignals.

Calculated while recording

The Compressed Spectral Array (CSA) gives an exploratory view of signal features and data quality in long recordings. HR/HRV follows the autonomic nervous system through automatic R-wave detection in the raw ECG. Evoked potentials are calculated online with statistical analysis. In the Professional version, aEEG/CFM offers amplitude-integrated EEG monitoring with automatic pattern classification for the neonatal intensive care unit.

EEG during TMS pulses

An EEG and TMS measurement

One important application is recording EEG while TMS pulses are delivered: a coil over the motor cortex produces a finger movement, and a somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) appears in the EEG. g.Recorder lets you choose a high sampling rate for every channel and record unfiltered; the exact timing of the TMS pulse comes in through the amplifier's TTL inputs. After recording, ERPs are calculated and artefact removal algorithms give clean EEG.

Target and non-target EPs side by side

Target and non-target EPs

The EP viewer shows averaged data frames for every recorded analogue channel, over a window of pre-trigger, delay and post-trigger time. Target and non-target evoked potentials are shown at once, and statistically significant differences between them are calculated and highlighted.

Built-in paradigms

No separate stimulus software

Paradigm presentation in g.Recorder

Paradigms designed in the paradigm editor present stimuli to the subject while passing trigger information to g.Recorder; g.Recorder records biosignals and triggers together and produces real-time analysis and EP plots. No extra software such as Presentation or E-Prime is needed.
