NeuroTech University Tour Türkiye2026 · Completed

Türkiye's first neurotechnology workshop tour.

With g.tec medical engineering we visited nine universities in Istanbul and Ankara in ten days. Researchers, academics and students tried multimodal neurophysiology systems and brain-computer interfaces hands-on, with live demonstrations. The next stop could be your university.

About the tour

We brought the lab to the university.

Coordinated by Nevosa Medikal Cihazlar ve Danışmanlık in partnership with g.tec medical engineering (Austria), this travelling workshop series ran as hands-on sessions at nine universities in Istanbul and Ankara. The sessions were designed for researchers and students in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience and biomedical engineering.

2026Each session 3 hoursLed by Slobodan Tanackovic of g.tec

As g.tec medical engineering and Nevosa, we organised this event as a voluntary initiative to contribute to the technical and research skills of students in Türkiye in neurotechnology, and to meet new partners in academia and lay the ground for future collaboration.

Programme

Two workshops, one aim: learning neurotechnology by doing.

Workshop 01

Multimodal recordings in real-life or simulated environments

A cognitive performance experiment ran in a web-based flight simulation with mobile EEG sensors. EEG, ECG, GSR and eye movements were recorded simultaneously throughout, and attention, workload and stress levels were visualised live.

  • Synchronising several biosignals
  • Real-time data visualisation and signal inspection
  • Paradigm design and detecting cognitive functions
Workshop 02

Brain-computer interface (BCI)

The theory of BCI techniques came together with hands-on experience; non-invasive BCI applications were demonstrated live on the Unicorn EEG platform.

  • Motor-imagery-based BCI
  • Unicorn Speller: choosing letters by focusing
  • Unicorn Platformer: code-based visual evoked potentials
  • The closed-loop BCI process

Next stop

Make your university the next stop.

Would you like to hold the workshop at your university, department or research group? Let's plan the content together for your participants' level and interests; we bring the devices and the experts.

Request a workshop

In your request, tell us about your institution, the number and level of participants, the topics you are interested in, the devices you already have and the dates that suit you.

In a workshop
  • A hands-on session, live demonstrations and participants' own trials
  • Working with EEG, ECG, GSR, eye-tracking and BCI systems
  • Content adapted to the participants' level
  • For students of psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience and engineering
Topics
EEG and BCI
Brain signal recording, brain-computer interfaces and applications for student projects.
Multimodal recording
Example experiments combining EEG, eye tracking and physiological signals.
Using the devices
Hands-on coverage of installation, electrode and sensor preparation, and data recording.

We sincerely thank every university and participant who made this tour possible.
